On the other side of the valley you came to at the end of the video, there’s another little section of twisties and then it’s just smooth sweepers all the way to fishlake valley. But in that section of twisties going east to west, as we did that first time through, those sweepers lul you into a rhythem. Then all of a sudden the road litterally drops out from under you ( I mean litterally as in catching huge air) and the pavement takes a sharp left. The problem here is, is that you can’t turn the bike when your in mid air. I watched as my brother got there first. It was like something out of a cartoon. The bike suddenly dropped and a split second later my brother ass followed. I barely had time to touch the brakes and it was my turn. Talk about your pucker factors, this one was off the scale. I’m watching the pavement disappear to the left underneath me. Then out ahead of me I see my brother touch down the rear tire, then the front and then lean it over hard, and I followed suit. We turned around and went back to look and we both left a pair of black tire marks where we touched down and it was right on the very edge of the pavemnet. The biggest problem with the whole thing is there is no runoff. If you don’t make the turn you run head-on into a rock ledge that the road veers around. It took about 20 min for us to collect ourselves and continue the ride. That is one of the most memorable occations in my life, on a bike or anything. After seeing your video I’m going to have to make a point of getting back there soon. Thanks for bringing back the memory.
